How to create the effect of pressed skin?
Hi,
I'm trying to create an effect when say someone is punched or poked with a finger and the skin gets moulded and such. I tried using D-formers but the result was far from accurate. Are there any methods within DAZ 3D to do this or is it only possible post-render? (and if yes, then what would the post-render methods be?)
Thanks!

In most cases the mesh resolution will be too low for this to work - certainly for fingers. You could export the emsh at high resolution, import that back in, and then apply DForms but obviosuly that removes any ability to pose or morph the mesh. For small effects post-work is probably your best bet.
Hi Robert,
did you try "Collision"? To use it, the smoothing modifier has to be applied (under Edit -> Geometrie).
More could be found under the Tutorials on YouTube.
Another instance where a morph brush like in Poser would come in handy!
(And yes, I do send in these as feature requests.)
Don't give up - it is possible.
OK, the limiting is the mesh geometriy, of cause. But there are some parameters to tweak.
With D-Form I succeeded for this:

But changing the resolution algorythm it looks like the attachment (only screenprint of workspace). So this was for Genesis 1. Hopefully the newer generations would get higher resolution.
