Rendering Anatomical Elements

I have added Genesis Male to the scene.    Next I added the genesis anitomical elements to the scene.  When I try to do a render the male will render but the elements remain white. What am I doing or not doing that is causing this?

  • A couple of things to try:  First, are you loading the separate textures for the genitals?  Some skin producers supply them; some don't.

Second, have you added any geometry shell-based products to your character? If you have, you may need to go into the shell's "Surfaces" tab in Parameters and deselect the genital area to get it to color properly.

    Did this fix the issue?

Once you load a figure in, it comes without Anatomical Elements (AEs), but the figure has its texture. Once you add the AEs, you can then right-click the AE, and add a material that matches your figure's skin. Try to remember which figure you use to properly match the skin type. You can also click on the Scene Tab, and change the name of the parts/figures to the one you are using for easier tracking.. For example, Genesis 2/3 male, or Michael 6 or 7 etc. When you right click it, on the Smart Content panel, Materials should pop up that fit your selected model.

A lot of producers make it really easy; you may find a preset labled like "Dash All Mat." You put Dash into a scene, select him and add the gens to the scene, then double-click "Dash All Mat," and you're done.
