Original Content Creation

Can you point me toward more information on how original content is created for Daz Studio or Poser?   When I look at an item like "Boho Garden" there are many elements that had to be created by software (what software?)....   Thank you for any help you can offer

You would need a modeller of some kind, able to export OBJ ideally though FBX or U3D could be used. You might want, as well or instead, a sculpting application. And you'd cedrtainly want an image editor. Which ones is a matter of taste and budget. Content creation is a big topic, not really something that can be addressed in a single thread - at least without narrowing down your goals and resources.

Have a look at this thread....http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/151961/how-do-you-make-stuff-for-daz#latest   ; There's lots of excellent links.  While you're reading, go grab a copy of Blender ( https://www.blender.org/ ) and check out the tutorial version  ( https://blendersensei.com/?doing_wp_cron=1421621126.6905400753021240234375 ).  Blender is a professional modeler that's completely free and enjoys half a million(!) downloads a month.  There are a billion (no really...I counted them!) tutorials available for free, many of them quite good, and numerous excellent forums.  Sickleyield is one of the content creators here and is quite free with her knowledge of using Blender to create items for Studio (or Poser) and moving back and forth between the two.  Blender isn't just kid stuff, it's used by real professionals.  Even the science community has embraced it for various projects.  Ask me about the work done in repairing skeletons of our ancestors (Australopithecus Afarensis ('Lucy')) from high resolution CT scans.  Blender is more than an amazing program...it's a phenomenon.

Thank you so very much... I have downloaded and installed Blender. I have also registered with the Blendersensei site so I can study the videos.   It looks like quite a program. I am looking forward to learning what actually goes into some of the great models available for Daz Studio.
