Can't cast shadows without Dome Environment

Hi, I am pretty new to DAZ so that I might be doing something wrong. The problem I am having is that when I add lights and switch from Dome + Scene Environment to Scene Only the shadows are not cast when trying to render with iRay, when I use Dome Environment everything works fine.

Is there anything else I should do? For the way I am setting up the lights I am sure some shadow should be reflected on the floor.

    Iray lights always cast shadows but you must have something in the scene for them to be cast on to.

    Thanks a lot, so it is not like with the dome environment that I don't need a surface? I will test that. Thanks

    The dome has a surface. Draw Ground defaults to ON. See attached. There will be a "surface" even if it isn't visible
