[I need some tips on] Camera Render Sizing

Hello artists!

I actually making some artworks for my game.
It involve full-body character AND face-character (for character status visuals purposes in a block of my game screen interface).

Well, I read many stuff on how to render, but now, I'm facing to a question that it seems I can't solve myself..

So, here is my situation:

1) I created a posing file (a simple DAZ Studio Project).
2) In that, I added 1 camera for full-body (so targetting the full character object)
3) In that, I added 1 camera for only-face (so targetting the character's head part of the character object)

In my Iray render settings I set the SIZE AND RATIO of my renders as:

Pixel Size (Global):  W=940 ; H=1410
Aspect Ratio (Global):  W=2.0 ; H=3.0
Constrain Proportion (Global): ON

So.. For the full-body camera artwork the render size is perfect..
But not for the face camera, the render is mainly too high sized.

I know that changing settings when I want render face can be achieved manually..
But..

I seek for a way to tell to THE 2nd CAMERA itself to override Pixel Size settings (at least) and furthermore why not the Aspect Ratio !
So..

How I can achieve that without affect the 1st CAMERA or ANY OF THE GLOBAL render settings for my DAZ Project ?

Thanks for any answer, I'm a bit into the mood of that will be a thing that can't be achieved as easy like saying "hello" !

  • The camera has size options in the Parameters or Camera panes, those can be used to override the global setting.

Hey there.. I feel now stupid.. XD
Thanks Richard (as usual for your times to answer our questions!)

OK for others people like me asking a feature like an OVERRIDING OF CAMERAS RENDER SIZE, just do like me (thanks to Richard to tell me that it was such sort of option..)

After some research, I find the option, and it's in the Camera Settings called:

    "Dimensions".
Just tick on the trigger named "Use Local Dimensions" ands set your size/aspect ration from there !
Next time you will render using THAT camera it will use overrided settings instead global !

** don't know that setting was for that due to an unclear name..
** Perhaps renamming as "Use Overrided Dimensions" will be better in further versions of DAZ Studio?

After all these years using Studio, I didn't know that! Thank you Richard and Thank you Atanacius for asking the question and giving more detail.

    Very useful to know.
