Keep getting this error when installing. (Photoshop 3D Bridge for Daz studio 4.9 64 bit)
in New Users
Photoshop 3D Bridge for Daz studio 4.9 64 bit keeps giving me an error when I'm trying to install with the install manager. Everything else installs except this.
This is the error.
- Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.9+ (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.
I think because of this I keep getting another log error when try to add an item into the program. Nothing opens up. Thanks!

Do you in fact have Photoshop? If so you need to tell Install Manager where it is - click the gear icon to open preferences, then in the Applications tab click the + button to add an application, set the name and version in the dialogue, and click the ... button to add the location.
I'm new at this and was wondering what can a person do with Photoshop with Daz.
Thanks
It depends, bdell_53_4baf2b3. There are many ways to use Photoshop in conjunction with DazStudio. In this instance, we're talking about the bridge between DS and Photoshop. The C4 and higher versions of Photoshop have 3D capabilities and the bridge allows you to move back and forth between Photoshop and DazStudio (so you can easily make changes in DS for the artwork you're working on in Photoshop.)
There are several other bridges in DazStudio. One to port back and forth between DS and Hexagon and another to port back and forth between DS and Zbrush. All of the bridges are handy tools that streamline one's workflow.
Other instaces where DS and Photoshop work together is texture creation. Import (or open) a template for a model in Photoshop, texture it to your heart's content, and then bring it into DS to see the results on your character/clothing/prop. And another use is compositing and postworking your art. Render your scene in DS and then open the png or jpg of your render in Photoshop, and add, subtract, adjust, use filters, whatever you want to use to complete your final artwork.
I'm sure there are other applications for this "working relationship" between the two programs, but these are the three main ones.
Hope this answers your question.
@ tuckersgotit - If you don't have DIM pointed at your Photoshop location, you'll get this error. To fix this, inside DIM go to the gear shaped icon (should be, as you're looking at the screen, the upper right hand corner). Click on it to get the pop up screen. Click on the Applications tab and add Photoshop (assuming you have Photoshop installed on your system) and use the "..." more button to navigate to your Photoshop's location on your computer. After you've done all that, it should work fine without throwing you any more errors.
