Title says it all.  I am trying to make some custom tatoos for a render and can not seem to find a way to access the layered image editor in DS 4.9.  All of the tutorials have not helped becaue they are all for older versions of DS.

Thanks,

  • Surfaces tab -> select specific surface (like the torso of a G3 figure) -> select map you want to apply the tattoo to and open layered image editor on the pop-up.

In the surfaces area of daz, you should find Diffuse Color (or Base Color depending on the shader). You'll see a little image buy it if it has a map. Click on the image/map and in that dropdown list, you'll see Layered Image Editor.

Go to the surfaces tab and then the part of the body you want the tattoo at then click the little black arrow (see above) and it will pull up a drop-down menu. Toward the top of the drop-down menu it says "layered image editor" - click on that.

When the layered image editor window pops up hit the "+" button to add a new layer (see above).

Then where it says "Resource: None" (see above), click on that and then locate your tattoo file.

Once you have the file selected you can adjust the blend mode and the position of the tattoo.
