Transfering morphs to Genesis 3

This is probably a common question, but I can`t seem to get what`s involved...

What do I need to ransfer a Michael 4 morph over to Genesis 3 Male? Can this be done with the Tranfer Utility alone or what products do I need? (I only have the first version of Gen X).

I ask if it can be done with the Tranfer Utility because it`s really just one morph I need, not sure I want to spend a lot in that, but still would like to know the options. HD morphs can be tranfered?

    As far as I'm aware HD morphs can't be transfered.

    GenX 2 is actually all you need to transfer gen4 figures

    You also need the Genesis 3 add-on if you want to transfer to G3: http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-3

    It was initially about G2 figures but there are tips for G3 too.

    Note that the manually transfer system does not work very well on Genesis 3 figures in my experience. The eyes are almost invariable messed up after transfer. Gen X does a much better job, and I would recommend it if you can afford it.

    It is possible others have had more success with manual transfer than me, but unless you are only moving over body morphs, you are likely to have difficulties.

    Yeah... I just tried manually from G2 to G3, it went relatively well, except some distortions on eyes, teeth and nails... I`ll have to experiment with M4.

    The G3 addon of Gen X2 will not work in the original Gen X right? If I wanted to trafer from M4 to G3, I don`t need the G2 add on right? I would buy the G3 add on, but gen X2 plus the addons is a bit out of my butget for this morph alone...

    If you have the G3 add on, and the G2 add on, you can go direct from any other supported figure to G3, no need to go via Genesis or Genesis 2. For example you could go direct from M3 to G3M, as long as you owned the M3 add on, in addition to the ones I mentioned earlier.

    All added together the products do come to a fair sum, but they are frequently on sale (and often deep sale due to the age of some of the products), so if purchased at the right time can be picked up relatively cheap. They are some of the best value products in the store IMHO, and well worth grabbing at some point.

    To answer your direct question, I think you do need the G2 add on to use this for G3, since the G3 version takes advantage of the G2 clone info, that is why it is listed as a required product.

    This is true. You need the G2 addon as a bridge figure between G3 and the other figures. It takes a little experimentation, but you can transfer whole or partial morphs. This includes morph packages like elf ears or fangs... With a little patience, you can extend the life of your purchases. I definitely recommend it.

    Ahh OK - I have them all so don't really know what you do and don't need when I read the product page I got the impression you didn't need much more than the G3 addon.

    Can this transfer, for example, the Creature Creator morphs from Genesis to both Genesis 3 Female and Genesis 3 Male?

    ...though I'd like to know if Genesis 3 technical features like weightmapping changes and face rigs can be transferred from G3F/G3M to Genesis...

    You can move the Creator Creator morphs from Genesis to Genesis 3, but not any geografts
