aniBlocks moving after saving?

When I save this scene in DS, before I close DS, the aniBlocks look like this:

When I open DS again, the top track of aniBlocks are shuffled around like this:

Strangely, only the top track get's shuffled.

Any suggestion on what might be causing this and what I can do to prevent it in the future?

I'm trying to learn ani-blocks myself and I have noticed this as well. It's like DS saves the file except for the "pauses" in the action. Which is highly annoying.

If I can figure this out, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I hope someone who does know will pipe up and satisfy both our curiousities.

  • Yes, not sure what is occurring.

With a bigger scene with multiple layers of aniBlocks, this could be a huge issue.

Well, even with smaller scenes and fewer blocks, it's still an issue. But I will dig into this and see if I can find us an answer.

Good questions. In my limited experience with aniblocks, i always bake them into the timeline prior to saving, so I've never ran into that issue. You can always bake and re-create an aniblock from the timeline if you need to go back to aniblocks. Not a great workaround tho.

  • Is baking the aniBlocks before saving the suggested workflow?

If so, I'm still not sure how to enable them again once they are baked (convert them back into aniBlocks). Is there are suggested method to this? Thanks for any tips.

Oooh, baking them before saving them. That has the ring of promise to it! I'll have to give that a shot and see if I can get it to work on my end. And if it does, then you can start looking for aniblocks in my catalog. (Which is something I've been wanting to branch out and include in my pose sets.)

    Just an update:

I have noticed that in other scenes I have created using aniBlocks, I didn't have issues with the aniBlocks shuffling after DS is closed and open again. It's only happened with the scene.

Any suggestion on what might be causing this and what I can do to prevent it in the future?

Awesome FeralFey! I love your pose sets and I'm sure your aniblocks will be great!
