Can someone convert this .max file?

I downloaded a free model from the internet, but it is in .max format and I do not have 3ds Max. Could one of you awesome people be so kind as to convert this file for me, to .dae, .fbx or .obj format? I would greatly appreciate it! :D

You can get a trial version of 3DS Max good for 30 days, no restrictions.  I always planned to stockpile .max models and use the 30 day trial to convert like crazy but you can only do it once so I keep thinking "just wait a little longer, pick up a few more models..." and never do it. But that said, it's a solution.

Or you can try Blender. Import the .max file and export it as an .obj file.

.max is a propreitary format, it won't open without using 3d Studio Max installed.

think you actually can every two years with a new release, not sure but got that impression
