Cannot Get the IPR Render in the AUX Viewport to Shut Down

I don't ever use the preveiw AUX window in Iray as it slows my pc down too much.  I started putting a scene together and all of a sudden it started rendering in the AUX viewport.  I keep hitting the to stop ipr render click here, but nothing is happening.  I haven't changed anything and I cant work like this, my pc is at a crawl and I can barely type.  It took be a while to figure out why things had slowed to a crawl because, well ,I never use this.  Please help, I won't be able to run Studio like this and it won't turn off!

    The IPR render is for 3DL only, not IRay, so maybe that is what is messing things up. Trying switching the renderer to 3DL temporarily, and see if you can switch off the IPR then.

    Set the draw style in the AuxViewport to Texture Shaded (or anything) rather than nVidia Iray.
