Hi. I used some off-the-shelf morphs to create a heavy character. There were many morphs used. Can i create a new control that will let me blend this combination of morphs back until I get the level of size that I want?
Thank you!

Thanks Richard!
I want to make a character I made into a dial control so I followed the instructions but when I load a new scene and load genesis 3 female and look for my character dial (I tried to make it in actor/people/stylized) it's not there. I have tried several times and it never works, is it possible to explain this more, screenshots would be great.
I rightclicked in parameters tab, put it in edit mode, rightclicked actor/people/stylized, selected create new parameter, wrote the name and selected 0 for the minimum value, 1 for the maximum and hit create. I then set the property to 100% and rightclicked and hit erc freeze (I selected genesis 3 female and all the other options), and hit accept. Then I checked and it did work, I used File/save as/ support asset/ morph asset and saved it. I then loaded a new scene and Genesis 3 and the dial is not there :(

You probably need to restart DAZ Studio. Since it is a newly-created morph, the database has not been updated. Closing, then re-opening DAZ Studio will reset the database. If this does not work, report back.
Thanks for the reply :) I closed and reopened Daz studio and it's still not there.
Is it possible you did not tick off your new morph when saving as a Morph Asset ?
This is something I forget to do at times :)
Thanks for the reply :) I did the whole thing again and this time I only checked genesis 3 female, actor, people, stylized and my character and saved as morph asset. I closed Daz studio and opened it again and loaded genesis 3 female and it's still not there.
I would check to see if a .dsf file has been created in your Content Library - It should be under : data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female\Morphs\YourName\MorphName.dsf
If you have more than one Content Library Daz saves to the last one you used so check that you still have that content library added to DAZ in preferences (edit/preferences/content/)
Which version of Daz Studio are you using?
I use the latest Daz version. I checked and found a folder named LARAFMV (my character) and in it there are lots of dsf files including LARAFMV, when I click on it it opens daz studio but the dial is still not in the parameters tab.
You do have the shape set when you do the ERC Freeze?
You meen if I have the shape preset loaded to genesis 3 female? if so then yes.
Please, I really need this to work, I want to be able to blend my character with others. Can someone point me to where this is explained with screenshots, beacuse obviously I am doing something wrong.
It's like the new property only works on the genesis 3 female I have in the scene, if I (after saving the morph) merge a new genesis 3 female into the scene, selected it then the dial is not there, if I select the other and go to back to the parameters it's there.
Did you install the content with Connect? When using the Morph Asset save what does the Asset Directory show? The one in Tottallou's post says H:/MyRT for example.
I used connect with everything. In asset directory it says C:/Users/Carina/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library. I did move my daz My DAZ 3D Library from C: to E: resently. I have My Daz Connect Library, My Library and Render Library in C:/Users/Carina/Documents/Daz 3D/Studio.
Try setting it to C:/Users/Carina/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library, assunming that's one of your content directories. If not use the content directory you generally save to.
It worked!
Thank you so much for helping me! ♥
I tried to make expression preset into dials a while ago and it didn't work either, perhaps I did the same error. Is there a description somewhere on how to convert expression presets to dials?
That's very helpful Richard. I've been exporting OBJs and using Morph Loader to make FBMs, this seems much faster. Thanks.
The basic method is the same - apply the expression, and nothing else, create a new property, do ERC Freeze. You do need to be careful not to do two ERC Freezes for the same controller if trying to adjust the results of the first as you can end up with two links which confuses DS (you can do as many ERC Freezes on different controllers as you like, it's just doing two on the same that casues issues).
Sorry to resurect this thread, but it relates to what I want to do?
Is it possible to set one of these morphs created as part of the content library (not Connect)?
The morphs you create will appear as morph dials in parameters
What I usually do is additionally create a character preset to load the complete character with materials and save that along with my purchased characters under People - Genesis8 - Characters
Not sure if this will help :)
Yeh, that looks like the method I'll use; I forgot about it as I rarely use it.
I prefer subset for some reason. :)
... But it isn't suitable for what I want.
Thank you.
Can a preset dial of maybe the default morphs or base morphs (aka morphs that can easily be found at the Daz Store) be distributed so that the original morphs are needed but not included?
I got this to work too but I made a mistake and set the default property to 100%. It should be set to zero. How do I go back and change this? I already saved it as a Suport Asset.
I want to do this too but can't find "New Parameter" just New Property with a lot of things to fill out and I'm not sure if that"s the same thing...
Edit it, then save it again with the same settings for the names.
Sorry, New Property is the correct command.
