Calling Bryce, Hexagon, and Carrara users - upgrade to new Studio?
About to upgrade to new Studio version, but... please be my beta tester.
I am generally hesitant to upgrade to newer versions of Studio. I want to hear about compatibility with other Daz software. Can anyone report on performance of integrated functions with Bryce, Hexagon, and Carrara? For example, does posed content still translate correctly through the bridge to Bryce? Any problems with the modeling bridge to Hexagon for morphs or JCMs? If someone rigs a custom prop in Studio, will the rigging work correctly in Carrara when saved as a duf asset? For example, has anyone tested a door to a cabinet or a garden hose? Not really those specifically, but the rigging for genesis 3 does not work in Carrara, while the rigging for genesis 2 does. No assurance going forward that upgrades to Studio functions will preserve rigging compatibility of custom props.
Any other issues to report?
I am not being disgruntled, just cautious. I will update to newest Studio if it appears that backwards and sideways compatibility has been preserved. I'd prefer an official announcement about such things from the Daz software development team regarding all the tests they did for Bryce, Hexagon, and Carrara, but, well, you know.

Comments
Have put a link to this thread in the Bryce forum, so hopefully anyone with an answer will drop in.
(Still on the previous Studio version myself, and don't use the Bridge, so...)
Thank you for the link in the Bryce forum, Peter.
My Studio version is 4.9.2.70 (though I still have 4.8, 3.0 and 2.3 installed). I could bridge genesis from Studio 4.9 to Bryce 7.1. And also aceess her from Bryce via Studio so the bridge appears to work. However, I seldom use the bridge. I select the object(s) in Studio and File > Export > Wavefront Object (*obj), then import it into Bryce.
Thank you both. Very helpful information for Bryce.
Can others address...
Hexagon?
Carrara?
diomede, when you say you are going to upgrade to the "new" Studio version, do mean just moving one increment to 4.9.3.166 (the recently announced new general release), or do you mean, say, from 4.8 to 4.9?
Just one increment I believe.
The Studio/Hexagon bridge is working as good as it ever did.
Thank you!
