What do I need to create expressions for Genesis 1 male?

Formerly only used Michael 4, but now want to use Genesis 1 male. Installed Genesis starter kit, added basic male to scene, click on head using node tool then Posing tab but no expression dials available. What am I missing here? Does Genesis 1 male come with NO default expressions? Tried check out body in case they are there, but nope.

Indeed, what should my path be to start working with Genesis 1 male, with genitalia and expressions and bady morphs. Really confused here.

  • Try selecting the figure rather than the head - though I thought the controls were on the head.

In Genesis, the expression morphs are located in the head. I just looked. I have to wonder if you might not have the expressions loaded? You should, in the posing tab with the head selected, see under the pose controls, a tab for expressions. If you're not seeing them, you'll need to install the Genesis Evolution Head Morphs.

  • Thank you guys. So expressions are not included in the base install? Wow.

Well, when Genesis 1 first came out, they weren't included and we had to purchase the Evolution Morphs for both the head and the body. But since Daz moved on to other iterations of Genesis, I would have thought that they would've either included those morphs on the free model, or at least given you a steeply discounted (or free) access to those morphs. Guess not. Sorry about that. But here's a link to the starter bundle that includes the morphs (and the Troll!! I love the Troll. I wish it was available for later iterations of Genesis....sigh...) • As far as I recall expressions were included - not necessarily compound expressions (happy, afraid, sad, and such) but the basic mouth/eye shaping morphs. That's been true of all Daz figures going back, if not to Victroia and Michael then certainly to Victoria 4 and Michael 4 and possible the threes.
