What The Heck With RawArt?!

Okay. Here's the thing. I saw the sudden sale on RawArt stuff. Figured, okay, 60% to 70% off was a good price. And since I had waited a few hours, I figured that there was no chance of a glitch. And now when I just finished loading my purchases, I turn around to double check a few things...and now find all of that RawArt stuff at between 76% and 83% off.

Needless to say, I'm upset. What the heck happened?! And is there some way I can get a retroactive discount?

The stuff should be at 60% off...anything else is a glitch

I see. Thank you for explaining. I just...I hope you understand. I don't mind paying for the props I purchase. However, when somethiong like that happens..;I wind up feeling like I had just been ripped off.

did yoo apply pc pa coupie?

would show stuff at higher discount

  • That's not what I meant. What I meant is that, after doublechecking a few things from the store. I noticed that the in-store products are now suddenly showing at a much lower price.

C'mon guys....when the sales don't go in OUR favor, we complain. When the sales have a glitch and goes IN our favor and then get put back right, we complain. I used to make commercial content. It's not a picnic folks. LOOOONG days...longer than if you were working for anyone else most likely. Please stop complaining all the time that stuff isn't cheap enough for you. It's a HOBBY for most of us. Hobbies cost money. It just seems really unseemly to me to see people complain about prices even when it's the vendors and Daz that are getting the shaft. Wow.

For anyone wondering, that was really the nicest way for me to put it. I give all my stuff away for free these days. Only a very small percentage who download the stuff ever say thank you (grateful for the ones who do...it's very nice). But I won't complain about it. I only complain about the price of necessities going up and up and up. Not about things I don't need.

Thanx for the understanding AllenArt....but lets not let this become a negative thing.

I am a shopper too, and I understand how it feels when it seems someone is getting a better deal than you did, even if it is an error. But this sale of mine is intended  with good will, so as long as people can enjoy it and get some fun toys to play with, then it is all cool.

I don't think any harm or foul was intendied by this thread. There was confusion due to a system glitch, but everything should be good now.

I do feel bad for the PAs if there is a glitch and they lose money but I am very frustrated with Daz right now. I've never seen a store that randomly changes the prices to things in your cart just as you are about to check out. With my recent purchase, all the items were Daz originals that changed in price at around 3:AM Pacific time just as I was checking out, and luckily I have screenshots from seconds before when everything was several dollars cheaper, so I do hope they will make things right. They really should not post anything for sale until they have the prices locked in. It's just unprofessional and bad business.

I see a couple of things apparently missing any discount:

    http://www.daz3d.com/no-suit-morphs-for-genesis-3-male-s
    http://www.daz3d.com/massive-morphs-for-genesis-3-male-s

Is this a mistake as they seem to be older than several other items in the sale?

Thanks a lot for your birthday offering though, @RawArt

I'm not trying to, and I understand the frustration with the system Daz is using...seems like it has a mind of its own, but I don't think I've ever heard people complain so much as this year (and I've been around a LOOOOONG time...lol) and the sales this year were, frankly, quite awesome ;). I will agree tho that the site glitches are getting out of hand, but I honestly haven't had a problem with one price I paid for anything the last few months. In fact, I could have spent more if I wasn't afraid the hubby would kill me and bury me in the yard ;).

I've had Amazon do that to me multiple times, and B&H (possibly the world's most highly respected photo, video, and audio store) do it to me once. And that's all with real goods, not electronic delivery.

I hope that Daz is working to fix this error. Its been an issue for far too long. Im not one to scoff at low prices but your new items were on display at 90% off. I couldve cleaned out your entire store for peanuts but I wasnt going to do that.

However, ill take advantage of the pricing bug on Daz products any chance I get. Its their own fault for letting this issue linger as long as it has.

As it stands, thanks for the sale and Happy Birthday.

I agree. Made me pretty frustrated to see so many people complaining that they FIXED a massive glitch. Even saw one guy saying that because they did that he is no longer going to buy anything from Daz. lol I really had to bite my tongue over the past day or so as I wanted to tell off so many people for complaining about a major error being fixed. I swear some people have no empathy - if they put themselves in the PAs shoes for even just a minute then maybe they can see why that needed to be fixed STAT and why it's not a good idea to take MASSIVE ADVANTAGE of such an error for the content creators' sakes. The PAs have bills to pay too.

People complain its a fact of life whether it be about glitching prices or things being too expensive and rising prices in general, if the PA's have a problem with the problems with the sales then it is up to them to deal with Daz its not the customers problem. Berating and complaining about those that 'take advantage' to my mind is a bit unfair - what are we as customers to do - wait to buy until we are given the yes its ok to do so from whoever, perhaps not shop at all just in case we are 'taking advantage', how will the PA's pay their bills then?

The store glitches have a tendacy to make people feel unsure of what they should be paying, in the sales thread people are encouraging others to get the best price showing how to get the discounts to stack so why was this case different why were these customers so wrong.

Because with the entire store at nearly 80%-90% off that was CLEARLY a glitch particularly when the sign only said UP TO 70% OFF. I'm not "berating" anyone, and as far as I can tell, no one else here is either. If you feel berated, when no one is berating you, that's your issue and not anyone elses.

Sorry but your post comes across that way, and no I don't feel berated I didn't even see the problems you are refering to, but I do feel that you seem very upset by anyone who got these good deals.  And no it isn't 'clearly' a glitch - the store does wonky things all the time and has done for ages, some people may well not even read the banners etc before buying and if you put things in your cart at one price and then everything suddenly jumps up a lot its not conducive to shopping and leaves customers unsettled.

  • Please drop the discussion of how others should or shouldn't behave when theys ee a glitch - it's pretty much getting into political/religious waters and those are forbidden as they have a habit of drowning those sailing in them and swamping others (he says, baling frantically from an overladen metaphor).

  • it is still a great sale and I still bought way more than I should hard to pick what to buy and what to miss was tempted by the real old stuff too great prices but passed for now as don't really look at pre g2 much now still was very tempting though still got some pretty good stuff
