RIP William Christopher

...looks like we cant get out of this year without one more loss.

William Christopher, best known for his role as Father Mulcahy, the soft spoken padre of the 4077th, died at his home in Pasadena earlier today, suffering from non-small cell lung cancer. He was 84.

    Yes, sad.  I thought the same thing when I saw that; it was like the fates just had to slide one more loss into 2016.

    He was always my favourite character, after Radar of course.

    It's unfortunate, but it was bound to happen eventually, that the people passing now are the ones we all grew up with. That's part of why it seems to be so many this year, because they are the ones from our earlier years.

  • I nominate the padre for a purple heart and a restful sleep amen. I used to think he did the voice for mickey mouse and james stewart.

    He played a very nice character on M*A*S*H. Hope his illness did not inflict much suffering on him.

    How sad, I love M*A*S*H for the characters and he played a great one. :(
