I found Filter Forge 4 in my product library but I am seeing that Filter Forge 6 is the latest version. Is there an upgrade option from 4 to 6?

I've never seen an upgrade here at DAZ. You might qualify for an upgrade option via Filter Forge directly. I'm still using 4.0, which I bought through Filter Forge at the end of the year, 2014. The only handicap I see to using 4.0 is a lot of the new filters being uploaded are 5.0 and 6.0 and won't work with my version. However, I don't use it enough to justify the cost of the upgrade. I do have four filters I've shared and two of those have earned High usage rewards after being up about 1.5 years. Reward Points can make it more affordable to upgrade, too. https://www.filterforge.com/more/freecopy.html
I've got a lifetime upgrade I bought when it was Version 4 there should be an upgrade somewhere but I think wait for the newyear sales you might get the lifetime upgrade for a song !
They're having an end of the year sale right now. FF Pro v6.0 is only $79. Or get the Lifetime upgrade, Professional Plus for "only" $308... (That's a savings of $520, but still well outside of my budget!)
It seems to ALWAYS be on sale for around $80 - the site always says it's on sale for 1 more day or something. Take a look at the new filters and see if you really need any of them. How often do you use it? I find that the filters that came with the early version I have are more than enough for me.
I believe the newest version supports 64 bit and runs much better. I think?
That said, I have FF4 and I have yet to feel a pressing need to upgrade (though 'runs way faster' would be an incentive, maybe I should see if there's a demo I can try out to see if it's better. Hmm)
Well, hey, anyone upgrade from 4 to 6 and seen a significant improvement?
I upgraded from 4 Pro to 5 Pro (paid upgrade) and then got 6 Pro free
. So I never used FF5!
It does run faster. Try the demo and see for yourself.
I have also bought the upgrade to FF5, and the FF6 was included, as well.
I had many crashes in FF5 and a couple in FF6. FF4 worked great in the past, had never problems with it.
I have changed the graphic card recently to GTX1080, so may be that is the reason. Have to check FF4 again, if it is still works well.
I have FF4 and it's the crashiest app I've ever used on my Mac, making it extremely frustrating to use. The results are nice but now I have Substance, they don't justify the effort and frustration of getting them. I tried the demo of FF5 and it was no better, so I don't plan on upgrading.
I also have FF 4 but I have found that there is no upgrade to FF6. FF4 has been discontinued and if you look at the upgrade options on this page you will see that you can only upgrade from FF5 or from FF6 (basic to a more expensive version):

The upgrade option for 4.0 to 5.0 was there until a month or so ago. I got several emails letting me know that upgrade path was about to expire. Honestly, it's not much more expensive to get the Pro version right now, at $79. (I think the upgrade was $69...?) As seldom as I use it, I figure I'll try to earn the points to get it for free. And filters made with 4.0 will get more usage than 6.0, so (maybe) earn those points faster. I do need to create more filters, though. Five points will get a lifetime upgrades license. I have two points now... And only four filters published. Obviously I need to create more if I'm going to earn three more points! lol...
