How do you Convert AVI movie into Mp4 in Windows 10?

I used to have a Mac and there was a utility to convert videos to all kinds of formats but there doesn't seem to be anything to convert to mp4 in Windows. Is there something (free)?

I'm making a full feature film and the avi files with the codec i use are too big, i want to convert to mp4

Thanks. I'll keepp that one in mind but i went for one utilty i found called "Hybrid" . Worked great.
