Y Rotate issue

I have another question.  I have been having problems with the Y Rotate function for figures.  After I load a pose- if for some reason I need to change the Y Rotate, it appears to rotate on the wrong axis.  In other words, I was expecting it to merely rotate in a semicircle- maintaining the same basic position where the character is posed.  However it rotates entirely different, like if the axis was inverted or something.

This only happens (I think) after I use a pose that I made myself- so maybe that is the problem. lol.  .

  • This happens when the pose moves the hip bone away from the figure node, then you rotate using the figure node. In general use the hip only for placement within a group pose (two figures shaking hands, for example) and to keep the feet on the ground. Other movement, such as placement in a scene, should be handled with the figure node.

  • Gotcha!  Thanks for the response, Richard.  I'll get the hang of it one of these days.  I have to say I really like this version of studio the more I use it.  I haven't used Poser hardly at all for a couple months.
