Question on manually posing bent knees?
Hi all,
I'm normally used to using Maya and wanted to know if it was possible to bend the knees of a Daz Studio rig the same way you'd be able to with a Maya rig? (ex. squatting/sitting movement from translating a root or pelvis control). I'd like to manually make poses but i've noticed that translating from these controls only causes the entire body to translate. I'm not sure what I would pin to be able to get that isolated movement. Are using preset poses or lifting the legs via the slider in the pose controls the only way to bend knees?

Pin the feet, then move the hip - though you will need to get the pose partially right to start with, it's very easy to have the pinned bones move.
This only works if you do not use a Genesis 3 character. Pinning is broken with Genesis 3. This is a known issue, and the only question is if DAZ is ever going to fix it...
