3D Universe's Skull Cove: Low Res but how does it look?

3d Universe's Skull Cove set says "Skull Cove is specifically designed to be low resource, and each of the models is low resolution. This enables you to load many figures in the full Skull Cove Environment without your PC becoming unstable."

That certainly sounds good...but how does it look in use? Especially if materials are converted to iray?

Dunno about Iray,  but I have used it in Bryce, or parts of it, and it is not too bad at all.

The buildings and ground look good in Iray, but the water/sea shaders don't work, and you'll need to turn off the skydome, so some work involved to use this set in Iray, but still worth the sale price IMO

Here's a render, pretty much straight out of the box. I only replaced the skydome with an Iray sky, and the water surface of the ocean by an Iray water shader. The rest is original materials.
