Selecting multiple parameter dials doesn't work like it used to

Hello,

I've noticed this problem with an update quite a while back, and I've lived with it.  I've thought of addressing it here, but never got around to it.  I'm sure it's been seen by others, though i don't know where to look for a solution.

What I've seen since I installed a Daz Studio update (I don't remember which one broke this functionality, 4.8?  4.9?) is that I can no longer select, say, both eyes of Genesis 3 and then move the up/down slider and have it affect both eyes.  I used to be able to do this with all sorts of things, and this was a feature I considered Daz Studio superior to Poser for.  I used to be able to grab all the parts of an index finger, and bend them all by 20% or 22% or whatever, and ALL the joints would move by 20% or 22%.  This was very useful.  All the joints on all the fingers?  Never used to be a problem.

Now, it only moves the last one I selected, and I have to select each individual part.  If I want to move the eyes the same way, I have to select right eye, fiddle with the movements, then do the same for the left.

I know there are "Pose Controls" but I'm talking about a functionality that was there and very useful, and is not there any more.

Has this been addressed before?  Is there a fix?

  • In the Parameters pane option menu - the lined button in the top corner or right-click the tab - make sure that Consolidate Properties is checked and that Display Separate Items isn't.
