"Hide Items I Own" checkbox broken?

I'm seeing all of the items in the Freebies, even though I own all of them. When I open an individual item's page, it shows as "Purchased," as usual  But Clicking or unclicking the "Hide" box makes no difference in what displays on the Freebies page.

Has logging on and off helped?

I've noticed on some of the sales pages lately that it will show an item even if I own it. Only works sometimes ;). Thank goodness I don't have SO much content yet that I still know what I have and what I don't. Plus it usually does say "purchased" as soon as one clicks on the product page. It's a minor annoyance compared to some of the site problems lately.

I've noticed that it doesn't always show the check mark but clicking the box hides and unhides for me whether the checkmark shows or not.

  • Yah its broken. Ive noticed this as well.

FYI, sometimes it shows items you own even when you have Hide selected. Fisty gave me a great tip-  I didn't know I could middle mouse click on the product and open it in a new page! Then just X out.

That way you don't constantly battle the having to recheck/refresh the Hide What I Own when it stays checked but shows everything, or messes up in any way.

  • I've noticed for a while now that the hide tickbox isn't reliably persistent — I tick it off in the PC+ Freebies page to check what's being hidden, tick it back on again, go back to the main store page, and... it's turned off. Seems to be getting worse over the last week or so, though; I switch pages several times and it takes three or four re-tickings before it sticks.

FWIW, the Show PC tickbox does seem to be reliable and persistent, so it's not just the tickboxes in general that are broken.
