Is there a way to fit Santa Baby outfit to G3F?
I have the outfit Santa Baby which is for Genesis.I'm wanting to use it on G3F but I can't but the Wear Them All - Autofitting Clones and Clothing Smoothers for Genesis 3 Female(s) just yet.Is there another way to get the outfit to work? When I go to fit it,it shows unsupported & it does not give option for G3F but it does for G2F & G3M. Any advice is welcome.I don't know how to make clones so no clue on that bit either.
Thanks,
Rose

Use the 'unsupported', sometimes, it can work well enough. Or try going in two steps...Genesis to Gensis 2, then from Genesis 2 to Genesis 3.
ok thanks. I'll see if it'll let me do that. Though not quite sure how to do it twice unless ya delete & redo it.
You save it as Figure/Prop asset in between.
I'm downloading it now, so I'll do some screenshots of the process...
ok thanks
You don't need to save it in-between - just let it autoconvert onto G2F, then load G3F and change 'fit-to' from G2F to G3F.
You can also get 'Wear them all for Genesis 3 Females / Males' that has auto-fitting clones from V4/M4 all the way to G2F/M.

Saving it in between is 'insurance'...too many times I've had something happen in between, it's become second nature to just save it before the next step.
The dress, sleeves and panties transfer well, the boots and wrap don't. Both will need lots of work.
I'm not going to put up screenshots tonight...sorry, I'll do it some time Monday.
Most of it works pretty well.
1) Load G2F and autofit Santa Baby dress, sleeves, hair, hat, and boots to G2F.
2) Load G3F and transfer outfit from G2F to G3F via "fit to". Apply smoothing modifier and a push modifier to the dress if needed.
3) Hide bottom parts of boots (as those don't transfer well) and keep the top art (the pretty furry part) visible and couple it with a different pair of boots that fit better.
4) And finally load the wrap and "parent to" G3F. The wrap doesn't work if you try to "fit to".
So pretty much the majority of the outfit transfers well to G3F. The only issue I found was the bottom parts of the boots not fitting, so having to hide the bottom of the boots and just use the top with another pair of boots, and then the wrap that doesn't "fit to". But again, parenting the wrap seems to work ok with a few adjustments, depending on the pose. Most of the outfit seems to work pretty well though. :)
Thank you :)
I tried using Santa Baby on g3 not much luck but may have been cause I was trying it on a custom pa fig with some other morphs
The dress needed a smoothing modifier and a push modifier on my G3F as it, for some reason, didn't want to cover her breasts. Once I added the smoothing modifier it helped a lot, it still had a tiny bit of poke through but that was fixed by adding a push modifier with the "mesh offset" set to .12.
@divamakeup - Wow! That's a fantastic render! Great work! I was struggling with that wrap too. What lighting did you use? I love how the fur showed up on your render. I don't think I've got it to look half as good yet, but I was trying it in Iray. What background is that? I love it.
The wrap is a bit of a problem...because it seems to be in an A-pose not a T-pose.
Such a fabulous outfit. I really wish they'd update it for G3F.
As for the boots....

Thank you! That's sweet of you to say! :)
The lighting is a free HDR that I found online and it's one of my favorites. I did a search for it to try to provide a link but wasn't able to find it again. I THINK I got it from one of these sites: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/57531/list-of-sites-with-free-hdri/p1 I also coupled it with some lights from: http://www.daz3d.com/promo-style-catch-lights-for-iray
The background is from here: http://all-free-download.com/free-photos/download/beautiful-christmas-background-highdefinition-picture_169747.html
Thanks, Diva. It came out so beautifully!
Awww Thank you! You put a big smile on my face! :D
Yep I loved that render also. I think it did lovely. Ok I got the dress on her (yay) I decided to go without the boots/sleeves/ & wrap since it's for a romantic evening in. Now I have a new issue. Somehow the pose she's in has made a weird spike show up in the fur in the front. I was wondering if there was a way to fix that?
I'm hopefully attaching a copy of the spike both pre & after a test render that I did. (ignore his leg pokes-those I already fixed. Thanks for any & all help. You've been a god send.
Diva, your render is really fantastic as is the background used. Thank you for the links :-)
I find that's a common issue when transfering some items of clothing from one generation to another. I've never found a fix for it, so if you find one, please let me know! :)
Awww Thank you! :D The Christmas render was fun to do!
I'm glad the links were helpful! :)
Quickest fix would be just to use a d-former on the offending vertices and push them back where they should be.
More complex fix would involve getting into the rigging (but I dunno how that works :p )
Thanks.I don't think I know how to use or do deformers. So I'll have ta google that bit:)
