How to make G3F breath in an animation?

Hello!

If you have a G3F figure in an animation and want her to stand or sit still, she really does. There is not the slightest movement and that is very unnatural. Real people always move a bit. At least they are breathing. And exactly that is the point. How can I make G3F breath in an animation?

If I remember correctly, V4 had an inhale morph. But Genesis 3 does not.

So, what can I do to simulate breathing on my G3F characters? I think that it could be applying (or altering) several chest morphs, but everything I have tried, did not produce satisfying results. Who knows the trick?

Their is a morph to expand and contract the chest if you have the body morph pack. If you have the head morph pack you cam make the eyes blick and shift back and forth. Those are the two main things but you need to also have the person swaying a bit as they stand and not still completely still for too long.

    Thanks for the answer!

Yes, I have the body and head morph packs, along with some other packs (e.g. Shape Shift). I will look for that expand/contract chest morph. But I think also the abdomen has to move a bit in and out, depending on the "heavyness" of the breathing.

A dedicated "breath morph" (in/out) would be a nice idea for all those experienced morph creators out there :-)

Well, that is actually probably handled better as a dedicated aniblock that you could use in aniMate2. However, if you pose the them and save them you can use those as keyframes in animate2. There is not much demand for such a thing in still renders.

I know g2f had breathing aniblocks, can't find a set for g3f though.

Oh, no, please no Aniblocks! I use keyframe animation with Keymate ans Graphmate. So a parameter or shape slider solution would be best. The slider Can be easily animated and gives you the freedom of setting the speed and intensity to taste. And a slider works in every situation/pose.

I guess I just think breathing is a bit complex for a shape slider. A lot more happens then just a chest cavity expansion, it's subtle, but usually people move their heads as they breathe too lol.

Under shaping, in chest section I have a morph called sternum depth, and in waist section abdomin in/out, those could be used together to make a believable breathing motion maybe. Problem is I don't know what shape is made by who, so I can't point you to them. The only ones that are obvious who made them are some of zevo's dials really.

Oh, I think the abdomin in/out is shape shift morph set. The sternum one gives me no clues. There is also one called ribcage size that could be useful for breathing.
