What are legacy files? What' the difference between Legacy Files and other files? Thanks!

    Or in the case of a legacy preset in the Iray shaders for a character (or possibly other item) they are settings for Iray in DS 4.8, where there was a bug fix in 4.9 that changed the way SSS rendered.

    So should I install legacy files for DS 4.20? What would happen if I installed them over the newer files?

    No, the settings would generally not work as well - I'm not sure if they would overwrite the later files, that may depend on the way the product was set up.
