export OBJ FROM Element 3D TO Daz
in The Commons
I've created an extruded path shape in Element 3D (it's the only 3D I have), and brought the OBJ file into Daz3D. It imports fine, but it only shows up in the Prespective view (can't see it in front, top, etc.), and I can't seem to move to to a specific area - it's wierd, it's like it occupies a different space than the other objects in my Daz scene. I try to move it into position, but as I move my camera, I see that the OBJ is still way off from my other objects. Any insight in importing FROM Element?
Thank you,
kurt

Is it a scale issue? Different modellers use different values for one OBJ unit. There can also be a mismatch with the way the axes are used. Which preset are you using when you import the OBJ?
I had to export at about 3000% scale to see it in Daz. The problem is I can't move it into position - it always ends up no where near where it seems from one angle from the next. The transition sliders won't move it at all, and the XYZ arrows only move it sometimes. I think I've tried every import parameter that htere is, but it always seems to end up the same.

Do you know what the native scale in Element 3D is?
