Jewels of Architecture: Orientalia Vol 1 Merchant Resource?

Fae3DFae3D Posts: 2,926

I got the product "Jewels of Architecture: Orientalia Vol 1" a long time ago, and I've recently been re-organizing my textures.  I want to be 100% sure if something is a merchant resource or not, and I can't quite tell with this one.  There is no documentation included with it, and the product page for it is a little unclear.

Could someone please verify for me if I can use these gorgeous patterns commercially or not?  Thank you!

"Although this Special Edition was created specifically for the texture artist working with interior environments and furniture, this resource will also work perfectly for digital scrapbooking and web design. Clothing texture artists will find many uses for the 38 special Chinese and Japanese fabric resources provided, ranging from ornate embroidered fabrics to simple silks."

leads me to believe it is a merchant resource, but I think the smart thing to do would be to submit that question through the help desk, so that you can keep the official Daz answer on file, if needed.

I had that same question and asked the Helpdesk:

I would like to know whether the licenses for
Texture Tools SKU:176, Jewels of Architecture SE: Orientalia Vol 1 SKU:5514, Jewels of Architecture: Volume 1 SKU:3653, Jewels of Architecture: Volume 2 SKU:5443 and Jewels of Architecture SE: Interior Textiles SKU:5443
are giving permission to create freebie textures for DazStudio/Posercontent?

    Answer:

Yes, you can use these as a merchant resource.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Question back about Freebies:

thank you for your answer - does that mean I can use those textures for freebie textures for clothes/things too?

    Answer

Yes. Because they are considered merchant resources, they can be used.

    Thanks,

Oh good, thanks!  I sent a help desk message as well.

I wish they had a filter to put on things like that so that we could search the store for merchant resources that may not have that in the title of the product.  I'm sure there are lots that I've never seen!
