ISO free 3d software for commerial use (making content)

I am ISO 3d software that is free that is safe for commerical use as in making content.  I know there is Blender but I was wondering what else is out there that is A) free and B) safe for commerical use (aka making content)

DAZ Studio, and you'd need Gimp too whether for DAZ Studio or for Blender. Those are really your only free options.

Blender is the only free model program that I know of.

Blender is not the ONLY free modeller...

www.wings3d.com Wings is a straight up modeller.  It doesn't really try to be anything else.  In a lot of respects, it's very similar to Hexagon.

    http://www.k-3d.org/ ; K3D is a modeller and animation package...sort of a Blender 'lite'.

http://www.artofillusion.org/ ; Art of Illusion is a modelling and rendering package.

On the CAD side of modelling...

    http://www.freecadweb.org/

    http://www.openscad.org/

CAD software is less useful for Studio type content, but can be used in prop and architectural element creation.

I am already using Daz Studio.

I know that is not true actually.  Nor is Gimp the only option I have for 2d Work for commerical usage

I will look into those.  I got Wings and was wondering what else is out there for me to figure out if it is for me.  I know one software might be good for one person but might not work well fore another person

Sculptris is a free digital sculpting program if  you want to approach model making from that angle.

Even if it's not free now, Hexagon is only $7.18 for PC+ members today which makes it worth to add to your toolbox if you don't already have it..

It goes on sale or is offered for free alongside another purchase sometimes as well.  I think I got my copy for $2.00 in one of those double stacking sales.

It has even been free. You can always wait. And maybe wait longer. Or spend $7 and try now.

Well there is also TrueSpace 3D but I was being practical and also mindful of what has more support and development going forward. Blender has a boat load of free tutorials on youtube and you already know most DAZ Studio questions will get answered in the forums here if you ask. Gimp, well it's not too difficult to do the simpler things with it but if there is a free 2D image editor that is better, has more support and free I'd like to hear of it too. I know about Krita & such but those are really meant to do other tasks than Gimp.

Wings3D has been in constant active development the 8 years or so that I've been using it.

Maybe I am wrong and Blender and GIMP are the best free software out there for 3d work.

Maybe if we can broaden the search for Free resources that can help create commerical products for DS or Poser
