The Qabbalah outfit missing .obj file

Just installed the Qabbalah outfit and getting an error - looking for .obj file.  Looked at the files and these files are missing:

..\Runtime\Geometries\Arki\Qabbalah\
   AK_QBheadshield.obj
   AK_QBhipshield.obj
   AK_QBskel.obj
   AK_QBsuit.obj

There is no Geometries folder, put in a ticket

Thank you for putting in a ticket on this. Please keep us posted on what they do/say about the issue. I'm considering getting the Qabbalah Megabundle with the outfit in it - I know I only have a couple more hours to decide so I'll probably get it and hope that they fix the issue soon.

I would just go ahead and get it before the sale ends.  Daz is good about fixing things and if they can't you can always get a refund.

Get the bundle Divamakeup.  Its got a TON of stuff and its worth every penny.  Stuff like this gets fixed pretty quickly.

Thank you for the advice, guys! :D I have the Lilithai Strigoia Bundle in my cart and the Qabbalah Megabundle in my cart. Are there any other bundles or items worth getting right now at that low price?

I would get the  Malaik Bundle http://www.daz3d.com/the-malaik-bundle. The wings are great and since you the bundle is the same price as the wings alone you might as well get the whole thing.

Also the Angeloi items are beautiful; but they don't come as a bundle so you would have to buy them as seperates.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,926

I picked up all of the bundles.  There is a very large amount of stuff in those bundles including wings, several textures, weapons in a couple of them as well as character morphs and mats

Ah, good eye! Thank you, Charlie! :)

I may or may not be shopping right now as a way to distract me from the election. I'm having major anxiety and this is helping to distract me. lol

If you are going to get the Malaik Wings - get the Angeloi textures, plus the Sky Angels as well.

Sonja, can we have a link for Diva Makeup?  I can't find it with the search.

Just a heads-up:  Both Lilithai and the Qabbalah wings aren't rigged to work in Daz Studio.  I actually talked with Arki via email about this.  She will eventually rig them for D/S.

Since I picked up Ocean Queen, I think I understand how the rigging works.  The wing membranes are separate from the wings and are posed in Poser's Cloth Room.  Ocean Queen has some static morphs for the wing membranes that work in D/S, but Lilithai and Qabbalah don't.  What this means is that you move the wing joints, and the membranes won't follow.

I bought them anyway, because I have been drooling over the Lilithai wings for a long time.  I'm going to try to rig them for D/S - What I want to to is attach the membranes to the wings.  It's probably pretty simple in Hexagon or other modeling program.  That way, when I pose the wing joints, the membrane will follow.  I won't have the nice folds, but maybe I can play around with creating morphs.

That's the theory anyway.  I will be checking with the Hexagon people.

The only problem with the Qabbalah dress -- at least, the Star! version -- is that it's almost too poofy as it loads in as a PP2 prop :/

  • 3Diva3Diva Posts: 12,001

Thanks, dracorn. It's good to know about the rigging issues. I know like NOTHING about rigging. I'm probably not the only one. lol

  • dracorndracorn Posts: 2,363

Yeah, I didn't care much about the poofy quality myself.  I may not use it.

I was just playing with the Lilithai wings.  They are not as bad as I thought.  The membranes are following the movement - sort of.  There are some sections that aren't moving correctly, but I should be able to move the indivdual pieces back.  There are a few bone distortions.  I ran into this with the D/S version of her Wings of Despair.  It's a pain, but it's doable.

The Lilithai wings aren't dynamic. So, no, they aren't completely hopeless. But I find that the farther away from the shoulder a joint is, the more likely that if I try to pose it, bits and pieces of the wing will become detached from the whole.

This is one of the ones that I used them in.

The Malaik wings, which are just a little bit older, work perfectly in Studio.

For those who would like to have some poses for the dynamic Qabbalah wing membranes: go and get the Megawings Poses over at Runtime DNA. We have included wing poses for each of the wing set (Malaik, Lilithai Strigoia, Qabbalah, OrchidFaes.
I know it is just a few fixed poses, but perhaps better than nothing.

I don't have time to check now but I think I found that if you turn bend off of the individual blades (Feathers) it helps in the posing of the wings.

Select the individual blade and in the parameters tab under misc turn OFF bend, bit of a pain to do each on individually but it helps.

  •  Anybody having the same problem with the missing geometries folder and files?

Yes, I am also missing the Qabbalah outfit files you listed in your initial post.

I bought the Malaik Wings a while ago.  They are beautiful, but posing them is tedious, since there are so many moving parts.  Arki's readme says they don't fold all the way, but I was able to get them to fold by using her wing fold pose and then manually adjusting it.

    Realistic Wings:  Excellent

Posting/Working with them:  Whew! (when you are done).  Bottom Line: they are beautiful but you need patience.

I also picked up lots of textures for them - I had a certain wing pattern in mind, and I had to manually load the textures to achieve the look I wanted.  These pictures show the Ribbon Feathers removed.

Front and back view of the wings folded.  Nuts - I see a couple feathers in the back view that need to be tucked in.

  • Did you get any error messages regarding missing jpg files? I get alot, almost all the textures are missing.

Sorry been offline for a bit which did you need a link too?

  • dracorndracorn Posts: 2,363

I bought the wings from Runtime before the merger, so the IM files didn't affect me.

I also put in a ticket yesterday for the missing obj files on the Quabbalah outfit and a couple of other issues.  The dress bump maps and so on don't load properly either.  The sleeves of that dress are Poser dynamic I believe; I'm pretty sure I remember NOT buying it from RDNA because of that; they sort of stand up like little wings.  But at the price of the bundle, it's worth it for the stuff we can use, until they get it fixed.  All gorgeous stuff and very different.

Anything special you need to do to get the wing poses to work in DS? I bought the poses, but the wing poses don't do anything?

The figure poses seem to be working as intended, though. Anyone else tried these in DS?

ETA: I had accidentally fit the wings to the figure when I loaded them, and even though I then set them to be fit to nothing, this was the problem when applying the pose. Loading a fresh set of wings did the trick. Now to work on re-rigging them . . .

There is now an update to the Qabbalah outfit and the missing geometries listed in the original post have been restored.

However the missing Malaik textures have not yet been restored.

I've got a ticket in too. Bought a ton of RDNA stuff, love the prices and the bundles. A lot of it doesn't work at the moment. Trying to be patient, and the content is really beautiful. Just want to be able to use it.

I just picked up the wing poses - but I haven't been able to get them to work.  I loaded the wings by themselves and it's like the parts are not connected when the pose is applied.

This is a known issue with the Lilithai STrigoia wings in DS.
They need to be rerigged to work properly as they were created for Poser.
