Difference in render speed between 1060 and 1070?
Simple question, does the 1070 worth it money when it comes to rendering? For example, if GTX 1060 6 GB spending an hour for rendering, how much faster GTX 1070 8 GB will handle it?

I have a 1070 and I did not buy it for speed. I bought it because I have three 6gb 780's and if I used a 1060 as the main video card to run my monitors I loose vram to the monitors and the system. Oh just a heads up, win10 is a video ram hog just to let you know. The reason to get a 1070 vs a 1060 is the extra 2gb of video ram not the speed of Iray render. If you are looking for speed buy a TitanX (12 gb of video ram 3000 cuda cores) or wait for the new pascal Titan (it is not out yet) The 1080 uses faster newer video ram but the 1070 uses older ddr5 which for Iray is plenty fast enough. For Iray and gaming bang for buck a 2 fan cooled Nvidia 1070 is a great deal. I would look around during black friday and see if you can get a good deal.
Could be as much as 50% faster due to the increased number of cores.

So head to head, how does the 1070 compare to a single 780 in speed?
