Where are the readme's mentioned in product descriptions?

Let's take flower girls http://www.daz3d.com/ly-flower-girls-hd

It says "May be used as a Merchant Resource. See readme for restrictions." Ummm... I've never seen a readme file made accessible via the store. I'm interested if I can bake these morphs in my own characters used in a game. It'd be nice if merchant resources would mention if the item can be used in commercial products and if so, what the requirements are. I know some merchant resources can be used in games. iSourceTextures is great at this for example.

I'm also wondering about game developer licenses where more than one name appears. Can you still use it? The EULA says "one of" the vendors.

From the EULA:

  • The “Artist” field in the product page for the Content lists one of the Artists an artist which corresponds to the Game Developer License purchased by User.

This means if one of the names is the one you bought a license from, you can use it? I've been told no on a specific product where this happened.

http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/start Then look up the SKU No from the product page (should be just under the price)

So for example the readme for LY Flower Girls HD: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/35457/start

Can't help about the game license question.

EDIT: Not that there is any mention of the Merchant Resource restrictions there. Just instructions to refer to the readme and no readme listed in the file list or any indication where to find it. Not helpful.

You may need to get in touch with customer service or PM Lyoness http://www.daz3d.com/forums/profile/2249002/Lyoness

If one of the vendors is "Daz Originals", then it is a buy-out and you only need the Daz Originals gaming license -- the other vendors created the product but Daz 3D owns it.  If it's not a Daz Original, then the listed vendors each have partial ownership of the product, so you need to submit a ticket to find out.
