Where are Lights and Cameras for House of Mog Ruith Interior?

Great deal on the House of Mog Ruith products in the bundles sale this week, so I picked them up as they have been in my wishlist for a while.

The Interior's add-on says it has presets for lights and cameras, but I can't find them in Daz Studio. Would hate to have to create a bunch of point lights to light those wall  lights and candelabras!

You can find new icons for loading this product in the following Poser Libraries: That means in the poser content part of your content fil

    • Camera: “HMR”

    • Light: “HMR”

    • Props: “HMR”

Keep in mind that those are poser files so your going to have to adjust the lighting for studio.

It looks like the product description dates back to before there was a DS version -- it only lists .pp2 and .obj for the props.  I don't see lights or cameras in the DS version.

Thank you @Khory and @Fixmypcmike. Turns out I had unchecked Poser content in DIM--because why would I want Poser stuff? blush

Just installed, but there are no lights specifically for the candelabras or wall lights, just overall lighting. crying

When I did it I selected all the candles in the scene tab and I selected all the wicks in the surface tab and made them Emissive with the flame .jpg as the colour.

I think one can select something in the scene and have DS make a light right at that spot, can't it? I seem to remember doing that at least once. Made it very easy to place lights.

fond memories of mog ruith.  needed the poser grouping tool on it.  hide a wall, the windows stay.  hide the windows they all hide.
used the poser grouping tool to separate windows into groups to hide with the particular wall.

i guess the iray plane is the ds solution? to aim the camera through a wall

Or you could use the geometry editor to select things and make new groups out of them. You can hide them in there or apply a new surface to them.

The candelabra is one object so unfortunately there are no separate candles or wicks to select. Thanks though, that is a cool shortcut otherwise.

It may be a single object, but single objects will often-times have multiple material (surface) areas.

I've had time to look at this. There is one Candelabra and the rest are instances. Select the main one and zoom right in. Use the Geometry tool and select the wick and holding downj the Ctrl button click on the rest of the wicks and then, still holding the Ctrl button, left click and choose Select Connected, and make them a new surface called wick. If that doesn't work then click on one wick, right click and choose Select Loop and then Select Connected which will select all the wick. Holding the Ctrl button down repeat with all the rest of the wicks and then, still holding the Ctrl button down make new surface and call it wick. You can then select the wick surface in the surface tab and make it emissive, even adding a flame .jpg as the colour if you have one and a grey scale one in Cutout. Because the rest are instances they will automatically be lit too.

    Thanks for this tip, @Fishtales!
