Fixing Topology

... I'm so sorry guys, but I'm going to be here badgering constantly, lol!!! You guys are going to be so sick of seeing my name!! I promise I'll pay it back by releasing freebies when I get good enough! XD
But, this time, my issue is with topology. After my last dress, and trying to texture it, I realized the topology was creating distortions to any textures I was applying. There were little squares and then gigantic ones. So I started my dress from scratch again, and ALMOST got there, but...

Again, I'm sorry for the constant badgering, but you guys do end up helping me tremendously. And I'm literally learning something new every day when it comes to content creation. Thank you!!!

Sooner or later every vendor / content creator has to do things by hand, not everything is automatic. This looks like Zbrush topology triangles on the edges no don't do it. So just go back and do the hard yards. I know that sounds a bit tough but sometimes there are no easy fixes.
I hear ya! And you don't know how much I appreciate your advice! The only thing I'll say (but I stress I know you're not attacking me) is that I only started content creation a few days ago and I barely have a grasp of what topology is; I did it the automatic and lazy way because... I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I didn't even know you could do topology manually. I barely know what topology is, lol! I've just been trying to get mine close to another dress's topology, and I realized that they have all identically sized squares and mine certainly doesn't.
Is there any advice you could give me on doing topology by hand? Google's my friend, but it's a very confusing world of information out there when you don't know what you're doing!
Again, thank you for your time, Midnight!
Well I got most of my training from Utute, There is Zremesher then there is the Zsphere method topology brush but that all relates to Zbrush.
My favorite topology is 3Dcoat it all depends on what you have !
One bit of advice is kick down what ever door you have to to get the info you need to do the job, don't be afraid to ask. That how I got started it a tough road starting but it does get easier !
There is a free app that does retopology. You can find more information and an exampe of its use here.
That's not too bad at all, pity Max is so expensive.
You don't need Max to use instant meshes. It is a stand alone. Any modeling program can use it. Max just happened to be the video example.
