This is 100% what I had in mind :) I frequently get confused when maps lock at 1 and have to do "tricks" to solve these problems. Thank you!
edit: Also, I think you answered a couple of my weight mapping questions in the Tech Help forum too, when I was doing my G2F/G3F conversion :) Thank you again!
Yes please on both this current project and the one on Morphs, JCM's, MCM's and anything else you can think of. I've had the worst time with MCM's in the past and would love an in depth tutorial on that. Make sure and include as many images as you can as some of us are visual learners.
Thank you so much for this endeavor!
This is going to be very useful :)
looking forward to this--and psyched it's going to be a pdf, not a video. :)

A how-to video tutorial- There's nothing quick about it.
Well, your stick ALMOST matches...
Yes, I totally agree. While a video is a nice refresher, is really tedious trying to learn something brand-new. I can't wait to get this. One FAQ I'd love to see answered is how to fix shoes that act like they're glued to the floor when you try to pose them. I asked this a long time ago and all I remember is that it has something to do with rigging, the bone /joint structure and differences between DS and Poser.
I am afraid the guide itself does not speak of such an issue at all.
To be honest, this is the first time I hear about "shoes glued to the floor" problem. If this is happening in Poser - I have literally no clue what might be happening there. If the shoes are in DAZ Studio but come from an imported Poser figure, the only thing that comes to my mind is that the Parametric Joints are used for the figure and they are setup incorrectly.....
Another option might be that the Weight Mapping of the shoes is done wrong. Perhaps a piece of the shoes weight map is stored within the hip of the figure.... That is actually a super-simple fix.
Dunno - hard to say without seeing the problem. Perhaps if you make a post in Technica Help forums about this and show a screenshot of the problem, I'll be able to help you there. (Do note - if this is happening in Poser - I won't be able to help you at all)
Is this guide still being worked on/finished/available/lost the plot............?
No offense intended; I think it's a fanatstic endeavour - I just hope you don't run out of steam.
I was a high school teacher for over 20 years, so if there's anything I can do to help (still being quite the DS novice, however) lmk............
