the alt-key drag [SOLVED]

I recently discovered alt-dragging things from the content panes to the viewport. Marvelous. Except now it's stopped working. When I hold down Alt, it acts like I'm not holding down Alt and just draws a marquee to select products. Alt does otherwise activate the menus. I feel like I must have changed a setting somehow. Anybody encountered this?

Restarting the software didn't help. Rebooting the machine did. Very odd. Hopefully this helps somebody else.

    How did you solve this? Because it happened to me too.
    Nevermind. It fixed itself once I restarted the PC.
