Zero joints after posing while preserving rotation - Creating a new TPose
Hello,
This has probably been asked before: I want to rotate a joint and then reset the values back to zero while preserving the rotation. What I am simply trying to do is correct the T Pose so that the arms and legs are straighter. I know I can export the new pose as an obj, re-import and auto adjust the rig to the new shape, but that seems like extra work that may not be necessary. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

There is a much simpler way to do this.
First, correct your pose as you wish by rotating the joints normally.
Afterwards select Joint Editor tool. Right click - go to Edit -> Bake Joint Rotations.
Now right click again, select Memorize - Memorize Figure Rigging.
Your T-Pose is now as you made it. Be aware however that Pose Presets will be all incorrect now if you apply them. EVERY SINGLE Pose Preset will never work from now on and will require adjustments. Ani blocks as well.
You have been warned.
Thanks Thomas.
question: will this joint baking be permanent or can I just reset it by deleting and then reopening the figure in question?
Why not just create a pose that poses the figure as you want. What figure are you trying to do this to?
