Having difficulty finding purchased items

I use DIM to download my purchases and I am still having a big problem finding some things I purchase. Mostly Environments. I can locate things on my hard drive but am unable to find what folder they are in while in Daz Studio. I have checked Environments in both Smart Content and My Library, also in the Props folders, "Ready to Render" and I also checked to see if it was in it's own folder. Some things I purchase from Maclean tend to populate in a folder called Maclean. I have searched the artist name and the product name as well as single key words of the product.

Most recently I bought some items from Fast Grab that were made my 2dfxMan. Interogation Room, City Neighborhood, Low Level BLock and Conference Room. The first three were in a bundle. The only one I can find using the artist name is The Conference Room. Does anyone know any tricks or have any pointers on how to find things? I assumed there would be some sort of uniformity when it comes to this. i.e. if you purchase an Environement, it will be in an Environment folder. Meta Data is a mystery to me.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

  • If you find the item in the Installed tab of DIM you can right-click and seelct View Installed Files to see where everything is, and to see the relative paths - for DS content the paths are exactly where you look in the Content Library pane, for Poser formats you ignore the Runtime/Libraries part and read the library name (character = Figures) and the folder within that library. You can also click the i in a circle button next to the name to open the readme.

I didn't try that. I'll give that a go when I get home. I don't so much mind them not being where I expect them to be as long as I know where they are so I can use them. Thanks for the pointer Richard! :)
