I'm looking for boots like the ones in Sunny Summer Day Outfit, but with a higher heel, and preferably G2F, but any, and I can convert...

idler168 has some ankle boots at Rendo that you could take into a modeling program and scrunch the shin part down to get the look you want and then either parent them to the feet or re-rig them.
If I had modeling talent, I could make what I'm looking for or take the boots from Sunny Summer Day and raise the heel.
Since I have a pretty big collection of heels and boots, was just trying to give suggestions.
You could try using the ankle boots and a deformer to scrunch down the shin part (or even raise the heel)
FSMCDesigns I've read about your heel fetish. ;) Perhaps you would like to share some of your specific expertise on fitting V4 heels to G2F or G3F. (By specific, I mean a flow list of each tab/function.) I, too, have quite a few V4 heels that have not been reissued for the later generations, and I am yet to discover a tutorial that gets me to the finish line I seek. I also followed the Daz3D youtube video on deformers, and although I was able to achieve something workable, it was still wonky-looking, which is to say, I don't quite have a handle on it, pun intended.
Actually xyer0, I have not had any luck with getting older generation footwear to work on genesis 3 except for parenting. When it comes to boots or closed foot heels, I just export to .OBJ and then reload and parent and hide the foot if needed.
Thanks, FSMC. I have wanted to use Arryn's Electra Boots on G3F, which are basically S&M Grecian sandal heels; so, I have to have a perfect fit for the calf, ankle, and foot, without hiding them. I picked up Strappy Boots for G3F over the weekend for $5.38 as a substitute in case I fail to achieve my goal.
Question: When you export to .obj and reimport, does the shoe/boot still conform to poses?
No, that is the drawback to doing it that way since it is unrigged. if you are doing extreme poses where the foot needs to bend, then that is going to be a problem. I had a few scenes when I needed it to bend and either used a deformer or exported, shaped it in a modeling app and reimported.
I bought this last week only for the boots; (they're not G2F though). It also comes with some pumps that I just used last night (after having to search for them in the store).
Thanks xyer0 ! I'll look at those!
I worked out a process for converting older boots to G2F...but I got to find it again :(
