Dark Skin Tone With Iray Skins?

I come to like Genesis 3 Female and the defaults that came with it. However, I finally ventured out and purchased other characters. Only to find that every single one of them is never what the thumbnail or product shows. They are unnaturally dark brown or other weird shades. They are nice to create african characters, but I'd like to get what I purchased. I have messed with every surface setting I can find and all I can find is settings to make the character paper white. Is there something I am missing or is Daz3d Iray about basically making sure you render with a spotlight in front of the characters to basically promote this character having fair skin? Just incase you are wondering, my issue is with Aiko 7 Pro, every one of them shows light skin, but I load them up they are all very brown.

It's a settings 'issue', but without seeing what all your current settings are...lights, render settings, which verssion of Studio and all that, it's hare to say where the problem is.  Also some examples of what you are getting would be helpful.

The attached file is all default settings. Like someone just got Daz3d, turned on Iray, made a character and then just put the Aiko 7 maps on it. I get normal skin with Genesis 3, but anything else gives me strange colors.

What's the exact version of Studio?

If you are saying that you want the white white white skin that aiko 7 has, then you need to change the translucency level and color.

That's what is driving the color change difference from preview to render

Try rendering first. I have found that all the Iray shaders look a bit funky in the viewport, but render out to the right look. So, the first thing I do with every new character is a quick render (don't forget to turn off the headlamp) to verify what the results are.
