OT How would I fix a bad graphics driver?
in The Commons
Hi All,
Last week I downloaded the most rescent nvidia driver and updated to ds 4.9. The next morning when I turned on the computer I got a message "Your PC ran into a problem and had to restart". Every morning since then I get the same message.
The only change ive made to my computer rescently was to update my driver and daz so im assuming that the driver is causing the issue. I appreciate the help.

you didn't mention which OS you were using ;)

this might help
If you open your Device Manager and go to the entry for your video card and open it it will have an option to role back the driver to the previous version.
If the nVidia display driver is giving you issues after rolling back and/or the installer won't let you install another one, I suggest using Display Driver Uninstaller to wipe everything :)
Thanks for the info everyone.
I think this may have worked. Unfortunately, another driver was released last night and I foolishly thought that maybe if I downloaded that driver it would fix the problem. Well it didnt and now I can only roll back to the previos driver that originally caused the error.
+1 on Display Driver Uninstaller. I'd suggest using it sooner, not later.
Sorry, windows 8.1
So can I install an older driver over a newer driver or is that just asking for trouble?
Yah I wish id known about it before. Its an easy tool for sure.
