Spooky! It's not a 1:1 Remake of an actual working farm, more of a combination of a few farms close by. I live in Lancashire in the UK if that helps? Then again, i imagine they were all built in a similar fashion, I've seen similar styles in Romania, Germany and France.

So, why no rain prop, then?

Great render Ivy! And thanks for picking it up. There's a lot of great skydome suggestions here, PC is using one of merlins backdrops above. Here is the panorama i used for the promo shots, you'll have to do a ninja edit in photoshop though.

You have a great Idea, Ninja on the farm. I can see the possibilities on a new Karate girl animation coming on .lol  No Photoshop required either. :)

Just purchased the Farmyard. I have to agree with several of the comments here, that the set looks amazing. I also picked up the Gastro pub and European suburb, and now looking forward to making some English countryside renders.

I would also like to voice my support for an English/European farmhouse to go with the farmyard if you ever considered making this. I would also dearly love to see a thatched cottage like Kirrin Cottage was in the Enid Blyton 'famous five' stories.  Both would be instant purchases for me.

There will be a farmhouse at some point, i just need to set aside some serious man-hours to get it done. Full interior/exterior sets are no small feat, and i don't like rushing sets. It will be done, and it will be done as best i can, watch this space. :)

Two things that I especially want to thank you for:

1) Including a greyscale image in your product descriptions, especially with the roof partially removed. This makes it very easy to see exactly what we are getting.

2) Responding on these forums, being pleasant, and speaking with us. The fact that you are a nice person does add weight to my decision as to whether or not I wish to purchase an artist's work. You're in!

+1 to both of these.   Not that I don't buy from vendors that don't post in the forums, I do, but I have to admit that the vendors who interact here and are willing to spend their precious free time with us, well, I appreciate it and it truly does make the items more valuable in my eyes as it gives an added value to *know* a bit about the artist and how they go about making things.  And it also gives me a deeper appreciation of just how much work goes into this stuff.

Thank you, very much appreciated. It's always a bit of a risk straying away from american architecture, because people may not have an affinity with your work. However, people from all over the place tend to like european sets ... perhaps it reminds them of being on holiday? Not sure, but i'm glad people like it :)

Even though I live in America and grew up here I would far rather see architecture from anywhere but here.... Especially European type architecture, much of it has such an old world feel to it (being that some of its hundreds of years old lol) that I find beautiful.  And is perfect for fantasy renders as well.

Well that's a fresh perspective, never really thought about it that way. On the other hand there is a lot of neoclassical or colonial architecture in america that i have a great fondness for, not to mention the nifty skyscrapers.

lol I am sure that no matter what you decide to tackle it will be very well done.  I personally don't have much use for skyskrapers as my art leans heavily toward medieval and fantasy although some of the more modern stuff lends itself will to sci fi too. But there are plenty of people who also love that stuff.  I'm just not a city girl I guess lol.

It's a privilege to do what we do, and it's easy to forget that when you are stressed out and on deadline. I can't speak for other vendors, but i think that communication can be invaluable on here. I get so many PMs suggesting different sets or themes, and it's pretty cool to be trusted with the creation of that idea. It's a give and take relationship, and i'm happy to pull my weight. Daz has a really warm community, and it's great that so many people see their purchases and *supporting the artist* rather than just *buying a product*. So hats off to all of you.

I really haven't dipped my toe in the fantasy pool yet, but i do love me some sci-fi! In-fact i currently have a sci-fi set on my WIP thread. Other than that, i'd really like to tackle a castle at some point ... another one on the list :)

I saw that thread and am looking forward to seeing this.  I do some sci fi even though I tend mostly toward fantasy. Although, looking at my content library, I apparentlhy like sci fi mroe than I knew lol.

Sci fi is my weakness, i love it. With contemporary architecture you are constrained by real world proportions and lack artistic license. I like doing contemporary stuff, but it tends to be a bit more paint-by-numbers than sci-fi/fantasy.

Merlin's Wild Borders, Iray Worlds Skydomes Sun and Sky, wonderful detail. I really like the way the water came out, in the sunlight and in the shadow of the plants. (Figure is G3F Willow with Hobby Clothes and Long Shag Hair, I was going for an Irish look.)

Sigh. I was trying really, REALLY hard to not immediately buy this, and then you posted this render.

I managed a very quick, very simple scene.  This is Iray rendered to about 23% as its currently past my bedtime and I have to work tomorrow.  But I am very impressed with it, and I love the foliage.  Looks really good. As do the rest of the textures. Lots of angles and nooks and crannies as well. Edited to add the brown horizon line is not from this set, I just threw a sky in and didn't realize it had such a straight horizon line.

Hey guys, sorry i can't respond to everyone because i'm buried with work, but it's great to see people dropping in and showing off their work.
