Can these shaders work with Iray? (Denki Gaka)

These shaders don't say Iray but I was wondering what would happen if you added the Iray uber shader after? http://www.daz3d.com/super-shaders-sci-fi-tech or any of the Denki Gaka shaders that don't specify Iray...

In the "read me" it says "Please note that while this product uses the DAZ Studio Default Shader System it does render very well under the NVidia IRay Render Engine with some minor tweaking!". So it should be good if you don't mind doing minor tweaking.
Haha, if I knew exactly what kind of "minor tweaking" was necessary, that would help... Where did you find the Readme? I never see them... Oh , I just noticed that under "Notes."
Ah I see what you mean, yeah "minor" to one person can mean "pain in the bottom" to another person. lol And who knows what kinds of tweaking my be needed.
As for the Read Me, I have the Daz Deals add-on and that puts the link to the Read Me beside every product. It's an awesome add-on that gives the percentage off of products, tells you what products you have in the bundles, helps you find the qualifying items for the PC+ coupons, etc. I love that add-on and definitely recommend it! :)
Oh yes, right. I've been meaning to add that but I do most of my shopping on my iPad, (I actually hate sitting at the computer, which is obviously not good as a digital artist LOL.) So the Readme is hidden until you install the browser add on? That's odd...
Yeah, and as far as "tweaking' shaders go, if I knew how to do that, I'd make my own shaders and not have to purchase premade ones... I probably have enough shaders as it is, but I have never seen that PA's store on sale before so was curious if it was something I could use. One day I really should study some of the shaders I already own to see how they are put together so I can tweak or even make my own... Soooo much still left to learn in DS.
Hmmm I don't think it's hidden, I don't know. I'm too new to Daz Studio to know where to find it without the add-on. I'm a noob, I know. lol
As for the shaders - I definitely recommend playing around with the settings and seeing what kind of new effects you can create. I actually figured out how to make a new hair shader and a new skin shader by doing that.
They are not hidden, you can find all of them here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/start
But a link to the file through the addon is a lot more convenient than having to go and manually find the one you need.
The shaders are basically cool applied textures. Which should work in any system.
So, yeah, it looks like it should convert pretty easily and then you can adjust things like how glossy it is, how metallic, etc.
The one thing that will be weird is displacement; if you are using displacement in 3DL, you will either want to not use it or change displacement subd to 3. If you are a little more ambitious I'd change the displacement map into a Normal map in Photoshop or with free online stuff ( http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/ )
His shaders work great in iray as long as you dont mind doing manual work.
There are a number of Iray shader products that basically do the same. If you don't want to guess or tweak, why not just get an Iray product?
I have these shaders. The most interesting thing about them is that they are insanely useful for generating your own effects and patterns if you're into retexturing and kitbashing like I am.
In particular, the included textures are amazing for bump and displacement maps.
From my own experience I have an old Mac. Iray looks great but the render times are huge. It become problematic investing in an iRay shader or product.
In 3Delight my workflow is generally Light Dome Pro; render out a bunch of layers, specific to each light source, then take the bunch into a post program, like PS, and tweak it from there. Depending on the scene this can take minutes to hours. In iRay, even a simple scene can take days if I do it that way. Often I'll just render an iRay scene with all the lights and hope for the best. But that means most of my work, and the work I feel better about, is going to be in 3Delight.
I haven't studied iray surfaces much so I don't have much understanding on where or what to tweak. So if I see an Iray product, and a 3Delight product, I'm probably going to go with the 3d.
The simple soluction is to buy a new computer. And get all the iray and 3delight shaders. And run for President because I have so much money I don't need fund raising or special interests or whatever, I just have to remember to water the money tree.
I am new to DS so never learned 3Delight and the truth is I only use DS for Iray rendering, I use Poser for everything else so I'm only interested in products that can be rendered with Iray. I already have a bunch of Iray shaders but the Denki Gaka ones were on sale and looked cool, but I realize I have to stop spending money and work with what I already have...
