Wound Makeup Artist Geometry Shells Pt 2

Well I got this item to work except I can't see the wound in the final render. I am using the Wound Makeup Artist Geometry Shells version for Gen 2 female and trying to render in Iray. I have applied the hip scar and manilulated it until in is now on the stomach about where a botched c section scar would be. It shows in perspective view but will not render. . . What am I missing?

Is there any displacement on the original figure texture? If yes, that can cause it to move outwards during final render and thus obscure the geo shell.

Edit to add: If that is the issue, you can adjust the mesh offset of the geo shell to make the part you need move further out or you can reduce/remove the displacement.
I did not introduce any displacement in the figure texture. Assuming I'm using a figure such as Ysabeau how would I know if such a displacement exists?
You would need to check the surface settings and see if there is a map in the displacement channel and if the strength is set to something above zero. It might be easiest to just go to the geo shell and increase the mesh offset (usually .1 cm by default) and see if the wound makeup becomes visible and then adjust from there.
