clicking surface with surface tool, seasick in surface tab?

haz a big set loaded, gettin sea sick scrolling in surface tab.

can clicking a surface with surface tool beam to the surface in surface tab?  pleeez

 

i see how to filter the parameter names

can somehow filter all surface names with the word fire in it?

Right-clicking on a surface gives you options. There you can find "select all surfaces with the diffuse image map..." or something like that. That option usually selects what you want; although that varies with the way surfaces has been asigned on the model it can be a great help. Not sure if that is what you wanted to know, I hope this helped.
