Can someone please tell me how I can use my V4 skins/make-up on G3F? What product do I need to do this? If there's already a thread about it, grateful if you can steer me to that thread as I am not able to find it. Thanks!

disregard my cry for help. I realized I do own an item by CaymanStudios that will enable me to do this.

Thanks, nonesuch. I do have Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: V4 from rendo by CaymanStudios.
There are several ways, but the easiest and least expensive way to transfer the skin is to use one of Cayman Studios legacy UV sets, The V4 and G2F versions are sold over at Renderosity, but his newer sets for V5, M4, M5, etc. are sold here at DAZ. There's a thread on their use in the comnmercial products section here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/79141/legacy-uvs-for-genesis-3-commercial
One thing to keep in mind is that V4 textures aren't set up for Iray, so if that's your renderer of choice, you'll need to adjust them manually or use an adapter script. I usually use SIckleyield's Beautiful Skins or V3 Digitimes products.
There's another commonly used option, Blacksmith 3d, also sold at Renderosity, but it's a bit more expensive to get into as it's an actuall painting program. That said, I have both and I almost always use Cayman Studio's product these days.
Well then, I can add that Rendo product to my list as I couldn't find something as direct at DAZ Store. Thanks.
thanks for the heads up on converting V4 skins to Iray. Forgot all about that part. Sometimes, I just buy stuff with the mentality of buy now, use later and when later comes, I forget all about the product(s) I bought for its intended purpose.
I believe Substance Painter can do the same thing as Blacksmith 3D in terms of converting the texture: https://support.allegorithmic.com/documentation/display/SPDOC/UV+Reprojection
Someone made a normalmap generator that works well, except it's geared towards Lux render normalmap configuration. I find ticking the 'Invert Height' box and then inverting the green channel in Photoshop makes the normalmap useable in iray, which I now have an action for. It also spits out a specular and displacement map, and you can choose to generate a normal map that doesn't use large detail. Does drag-n-drop batch conversion.

I've no idea how well it works.
But keep thinking of trying it; there is a trial version, I'm just short of time atm.
That happens a lot /nod
