If you go to your Product Library on Daz3d.com, they are typically a separate download on the page the shows the item. Go in to your library and click on / search for Traced

I've just checked the last 20 or so outifts that I've bought. All but two ro three have a templates file. Since the info specificially mentions templates, you probably should think about a support ticket.

I just checked my product library, and there definitely is no template showing. I think I'm going to submit a support ticket.

I heard back from someone; she seems to think I can't find the textures. I was told to look in Smart Content. I tried to explain what I'm looking for, but I don't know if she'll understand.

maybe I should dd my issue in... simply put, it ain't in there

  • After you've dressed her click on one of her pieces of clothing and in your main smart content menu click materials you'll see both the traced outfit and untraced outfit textures if you bought those, if that's what you mean or if not that is probably what cs thought you was referring to. If you meant those templates that look like wireframe thingys well yeah can't find those myself if they are included that is found one product set in the Templates folder in My Daz Library and some RDNA products got from here in a folder called Documentation. Can't find any others but might be some hidden in sub sub folders in weird locations. I bought the comic villain bundle and could not locat the bonus backgrounds DestinysGarden helped me there locating them in a folder called General (also lots of others and other stuff there too)also had to work out how to use them first had to create a primitive then open surfaces and add that way. There are some wireframe templates here you have to manually download from here for some products such as the genesis 2 starter essentials just go to your personal page here and in your product library type in the search box genesis 2 starter essentials and you'll see all the sub downloads which if a bundle may be include seperate downloads for each item as well as poser, carrara versions and templates  for that product listed but not every product has a download for templates

This product specifically stated that there are texture temples.. but they aren't where they are advertised.
So, I also put in a ticket. We'll see how it goes.

  • hmmmm so it does yeah I bought the bundle doesn't say anu of that on product sales page but looking at the product sales page for the outfit yes I see that which means yes in our personal bought product pages for that product there should be seperate download for texture templates just like for other products that offer them such as genesis 2/3 starter essentials and others

It can be possilbe to actually create them from the textures; effectiveness varies a little.

Or do like I did last night and export the separate pieces as obj, open them with uv mapper classic (free program) and save out a template.  Or in DS select all the material zones of one of the pieces, go to UV view, and take a screen shot... though that's not as precise.
