I bought the Font To Mesh Converter for $3.95 on sale a few years ago, thinking that I'd use it for an Xmas card or something.  Instead I've ended up pulling it out a lot to replace existing signage I don't like or to create entirely new signs.  This is an old 3DL rendering I did for a shader contest a few years back, with the letters covered by one of the glow shaders from that ever-popular source of tricks, the Genesis SuperSuit.  All the little catwalks and stuff are pulled from another series of product that keeps on giving for kitbashers, Jack Tomalin's G.I.S. futuristic sets.

OH, now that is really awesome! That was incredibly funny and definitely in the weird, yet superb level of creativity. LOL! It's 3am here, and at first I read your post to say that you used the picture above as a Christmas card, but then I realized that I read it wrong.  Haha!  It would have been hilarious if it had been used for that.

Where did you buy that font to text converter?  Is that a DAZ product that I've not discovered?  I'll check Rendorosity.  The price your bought it for sounds like one of their sales.

Fantastic job! Your toon rendering really looks great. Did you achieve that using pwtoon or some other special shaders? I'm figuring it's a 3Delight render. Looks like you could recreate not only your favorite scenes, but an entire animated show!

Thank you!  I'm glad that you liked it!

Yes.  I used PWToon, but tweaked LOTs of the settings around and added a few of my own textures here and there.   Yup!  Totally 3Delight Render.  For me, Iray is not a 'thing' yet with a Xeon FX 1800, I don't even have enough memory, nor Cuda cores to obtain that kind of rendering engine format.

And as to pretty much creating my entire animated show... well, I write/create a contination of the comics for my favorite series, and all of the characters have been pretty much built for each, so yeah...  and I'm putting together an animated YouTube Trailer in order to advertise the move of my comics over to Patreon.... so, I'm not far from actually creating a full animated toon already with all of the footage that I've put together thus far.

My unlisted YT animation clip made in DAZ3D Studio based on the DiC Entertainment 1980s "Legend of Zelda" cartoon Link --- meets Ocarina of Time Nintendo Link --> It's part of my long running fan-comic of how the two meet up and why.  Gawd.... I'm such a nerd.

(I've put this link in another post, so apologies to those who have already seen it.  I just don't have much YouTube footage of DAZ animation uploaded at this time, since I'm still in the process of edting everything together).

Wow! That looks fantastic. I'd love to see more when you get it uploaded. Really nice work.

I will definitely post it when I'm done for you.  I'm just going back down this thread at 3:30am, and seeing what others have done, from the vitiligo zombies, to the person mowing the grass in their gorillas suit, and the scaled down salt shaker models, to the weird bird with lizard tale.  This is the funniest post just prior to the funny posts that I'm sure I'll see today once everyone wakes up and sees the new Gen 3 Female: the Full Body Model named Bessie.

    Uh....

Oh, no.  I'm not starting that hate thread.  I've gotta get sleep now, so I can get back to my animation process when the sun rises.

I tend to misuse most of my props at some time but there are some really awesome ideas here and I never went to such extremes

one of the most extremes were the use of a cloud dome on a twisted cylinder  for this one

there is a tutorial about that in my Art thread here:http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1113676/#Comment_1113676
