FBX import in DS different than Carrara, why?

Anyone at DAZ care to explain why this is. I can import most standard FBX rigged models in carrara 8.5 and they load perfectly with rigging intact. I have yet to get any FBX rigged model to import into DS (4.8) in any useable way. I had a buddy of mine I used to work with at a game studio do a custom model for me and he sent it to me in the usual FBX game format and as usual, I have to pose it in carrara before importing the non rigged >OBJ into DS which gets tedious pretty quick, especially since it makes no sense, both programs share the same developer.
I am on 4.8 still and have no interest in connect or encrypted, but if you guys fix the FBX import to where I can pose and render my game models in DS, I will jump on board the connect/encrypted bandwagon, LOL.

I assume because Carrara was originally owned and developed by other companies Evocia for one.
It natively uses weightpainting, this was only added to DS with Genesis and DAZ's triax and later dual quartonian (yeah no idea how to spell that) not the type used in Carrara hence the 8.5 update and the latter never added.
The FBX import in Carrara was improved with 8.5 too enabling me to import iClone exports, some things still fail becoming jumbled messes DAZ studio exports being one but yes certainly is still far more useful than the DS import, Maybe Genesis 5 will use the Carrara weightpainting
and we will all be happy little Vegemites and both will be able to do decent FBX import
