Putting items in my libary

Why is it when I go install items in my libary not everything is showing up? I have downloaded alot of free clothing from different websites but none of the outfits or anything shows up in none of the folders.

The usual routine applies: where is your version of Daz Studio pointing to I.e. content manager should have the runtimes selected for poser stuff and the content libraries for Daz Studio stuff. The program does not scan your computer for appropriate folders; you decide what folders it looks at.
There's also the question of where you're looking. The DAZ Studio Format and Poser Format sections of the Content Library tab shows the content files as they actually exist and are arranged on your computer's hard drive when they were installed. The Smart Content tab (also the Products and Categories sections in the Content Library tab) do not show your content files — they show a filtered and sorted view of a database of links pointing to your content files. This database is created automatically by D|S using extra data in the product installers, which in almost all cases will only be found in something bought from DAZ. No extra data, no database entry; these items can only be found in the Content Library tab, and many older ones are set up in Poser format, which... can take a bit of getting used to.
